’Default Output Capture’ does not capture audio.

This will sometimes occur when MiniMeters is missing its “System Audio Recording” permission. Removing it, if it exists, can sometimes address the issue.

1. Close MiniMeters
2. Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen & System Audio Recording
3. Scroll down to the section titled “System Audio Recording Only”
4. If MiniMeters is disabled, enable it. Otherwise, select MiniMeters from the list and remove it using the minus arrow from the bottom left.
5. Open MiniMeters. It should request permission to enable System Audio Recording. Grant it.
