Setup MiniMeters with SoundSource 5 (macOS)

Note: If you are using macOS Ventura (13.0) or later you can simply choose "Desktop Audio" from MiniMeters to meter your whole system audio.
Basic Setup:
MiniMetersServer is only compatible with SoundSource 5. Older versions will not work consistently.
  1. Download and install SoundSource 5 from the Rogue Amoeba website.
  2. Once installed, open SoundSource and click Add Effect.
  3. From the menu that appears, search for MiniMetersServer and select it.
  4. Open MiniMeters and click Settings from the bottom right.
  5. Under the Audio Device panel and choose "MiniMeters Plugin" from the Audio Device section.
Additional Options:

If the visuals on MiniMeters are delayed try changing the Latency from the Advanced tab inside of SoundSource's Settings.
