v1.0.21 - Vulkan (Linux), Memory Usage Improvements, Bug Fixes
Released: Nov 13, 2025
- This update is free for existing users.
Additions:
- New Vulkan Backend: This new Vulkan render backend is now default on Linux (where available) and optionally available on Windows by opening the launch settings menu. This will result in performance improvements on constrained devices such as the Raspberry Pi where the OpenGL drivers may not be as optimized.
- Loudness Added "RMS: Fast +3dB" and "RMS: Slow +3dB" options. Some RMS meters increase the true RMS value by 3dB to match the Peak value when playing a constant tone. MiniMeters now matches this behavior with these new settings. (Thanks @vinai_67141 in the Discord for the suggestion)
General Changes/Fixes:
- General Significantly reduced memory usage.
- General The hint text now correctly appears when hovering over RadioBox elements that are displayed as a toggle or drop down.
- General Removed quotes from the included themes' credit text.
- General Hovering over the titles of each Module in the Modules pane now shows a hint explaining what clicking will do.
- Horizontal Layout: The Swap Meters arrows now become grayed out when unavailable, restoring the behavior from 0.8.x versions.
- Horizontal Layout: Fixed issue where on first launch, enabling Stick mode would move the window to the bottom.
- Plug-Ins Fixed rare crash that could occur if the plug-in host did not provide transport info.
- Audio Sender Plug-In: No longer shows "Open Help" tooltip once mouse has exited the window.
- Audio Engine MiniMeters now supports sample rates below 44100Hz.
- Waveform & Spectrogram Improved the tooltip text on the Loop parameter.

- Spectrum Fixed graphical glitch that could occur when using the band pass filter.
- Loudness Fixed issue where "RMS Fast" would show 0 RMS if no audio had played.
- Spectrum Fixed an issue where clicking and holding would not increase the smoothing when using a popped-out module. (Thanks @primaldnb in the Discord)
